Reese's sweater

I made this sweater for Amber's new dog, Reese. It was really fun and only took a few hours. I actually sat and talked with Amber and Kat while I knit it up and it fit the little dog perfectly! I have been wanting to make a dog sweater and my SP sent me this awesome multi for a swap and it was perfect for the sweater. I hope she doesn't mind that I used it for a dog, but trust me when I say that that yarn found a place of honor. I was ridiculously thrilled and so was Amber. Reese, always agreeable, seemed to like it.

Bella's mittens

So I found a pattern for Bella's mittens from Twilight.  Apparently I am not the only person who loves them.  I was almost done when Ben pulled out all my DPNs–on a cable row.  I put everything back on but I couldn't get one of the stitches that dropped down a few rows  back on.  It was too tight.  So I ripped back a couple of rows and now I am missing two stitches.  I don't know how this happened.  I am thinking of starting over and adding a few stitches to make them a little looser. 

Ben and I went to the beach with my mom this weekend.  We had a really good time but it was kind of hard with his nap the first day and I didn't think I would stay as long as I had planned.  He ended up doing really well the next day so we stayed.  

He is really into Madagascar and has named all of his lions Alex, all of his giraffes are Melman and all of the zebras he has are named Marty.  We don't have too many Hippos so he has named a plastic eggplant Gloria.  I think she is his favorite.
